Those are all the brothers of Chuck Mauro, who started making racing cars in 1936, and this last one he made in 2005

  1. You can try... typically won't soak in tho. I think the Petty family lost a few before their natural time also. It is sad, but it's nice they honor them. I hope I'm not that hard headed.

  2. Whoops. Very old AND incorrect post. Chuck Mauro was my grandpa. None of his brothers died while racing. They mostly died of heat-related illness, one stroke and one car accident, but not racing. My grandpa was still building his race cars into his 90’s and had outlived most everyone of his siblings. He chose to put the brothers’ names on the car because most of them had loved racing, raced or built themselves, and it had always been part of their lives together. A simple google of Chuck Mauro racing gives all the facts.

    1. an incorrect presumption from the misunderstanding of not only the "in memory of" but also the source material linked to, that states "Chuck Mauro was born and raised in North Denver, and is the last surviving brother of 6, five of which were involved in motorsports on a local, national, and even international level."
I doubt you'd understand, as you're family, but from an unbiased point of view, an easy miscommunication from inference.
Thanks for correcting this! I'll change the post.
