Road Runner advertisments

  1. Backstory to the 440-6 drag test ad... Ro McGonegal lived in Alexandria, VA at the time of that test. While the Chrysler Corporation-owned Roadrunner test car was parked outside his apartment, the intake and carbs were stolen.

    That account gets it wrong - the car was shipped to the Super Stock Magazine office in Alexandria, VA, not to Sox & Martin in Burlington, NC.

    Cecil County (MD) Drag-o-way (how they spelled it then) is up in the northeast corner of Maryland.
