  2. How did the XF V1 get put into the vertical position - was it attached to a gantry that moved it from horizontal to vertical?

    1. you've got questions I haven't known the answers too. This is one of many experimental 1950s aero jobs that I've never known a thing about until finding photos on the internet.
      Wait til you get to the many flying platforms, like the Piaseki flying Jeep!
      I can't figure how the XF V1 landed on it's tail, was placed that way with a gantry, or had a very clever pilot land that way to prove a theory
